The IS31FL3740 is a general purpose 3×4 LEDsmatrix driver with 1/12 cycle rate. The device can beprogrammed via an I2C compatible interface. EachLED can be dimmed individually with 8-bit × 8 PWMdata which allowing 1024 steps of linear dimming.
IS31FL3740 features 3 Auto Breathing Modes whichare noted as ABM-1, ABM-2 and ABM-3. For eachAuto Breathing Mode, there are 4 timing characterswhich include current rising/holding/falling/off timeand 3 loop characters which include Loop-Beginning/Loop-Ending/Loop-Times. Every LED can beconfigured to be any Auto Breathing Mode or No-Breathing Mode individually.
Additionally each LED open and short state can bedetected, IS31FL3740 store the open or shortinformation in Open-Short Registers. The Open-ShortRegisters allowing MCU to read out via I2Ccompatible interface. Inform MCU whether there areLEDs open or short and the locations of open or shortLEDs.
The IS31FL3740 operates from 2.7V to 5.5V andfeatures a very low shutdown and operational current.IS31FL3740 is available in QFN-20 (5mm×5mm) andeTSSOP-20 packages. It operates from 2.7V to 5.5Vover the temperature range of -40℃ to +125℃.
