04/24/2013 04:03:20 PM MDTLong Meadow Community Club met Wednesday at the Senior Center in Wiggins with Kaye Aldrich as hostess.
Tacos were enjoyed along with brownies, coffee and tea.
Donna Oskarson, vice president, called the meeting to order with the Pledge to the Flag and the Club's Collect.
Roll call was answered by seven members with "the first meal I ever cooked,http://www.pilewu.com/louisvuitton.html/." Members present were Kaye Aldrich, Johnnie Burdette, Joyce Hueske, Dorothy Kopetzky, Donna Oskarson, Patsy Taylor and Sylvia Weller.
Courtesy reported sending the following cards: sympathy cards to Stan and Cheryl Baumgartner, Jean Baer family and Norman Weber family.
Invitations were read from the Women's Fellowship salad supper, which was held on April 20, 6:30 p.m., and the Home Circle Club of Hoyt Spring luncheon and bake sale,Coach outlet store online, which will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at noon.
The hostess gift, a "tortilla bowl baker," was won by Joyce Hueske.
A small potted plant, Dianthus, was at each place setting and given by the hostess, Kaye Aldrich.
Dave and Joyce Preston of Casper, Wyo., were visiting over the weekend with Kim and Mary Gahagen.

Dish Towel Remembered "Come, dry the dishes," was often Mother's call,
And I reluctantly came, as she called my name,
And chose a towel from the rack that hung on the wall.
The plates I would polish while they were hot,
Glasses dried just so, silver must be spotless you know.
Then Mother would say, "Use that old towel for the coffee pot."
For a broken arm the dish towel made a dandy sling.
When a cut on the head, most fiercely bled,
Mother wrapped a towel round and round in a ring.
Sometimes, when little children while running about,
Let flies in the house, quick as a mouse,
Mother and her towel with a swish and a swoop, hurried them out.
A clean towel covered fresh-baked bread, rolls,Gucci Outlet, or pies.
Oh, that wonderful smell, we knew it well,

When a dish or cake was taken to a neighbor of friend.

The embroidered towel was the one Mother would send.
Towel upon towel, so clean and neat in a stack,
Some old and worn, some a bit torn.
We put old ones to the front, the good ones in back.
A fancy towel was quickly hung when company came.
From the back of the stack, to the front on the rack,
A special towel with the day of the week embroidered by name,
